Alan D. Palmer, in custody, was placed on a 36-month probation and sentenced to 365 days in MCJ (38 days CTS) for conspiracy to commit a crime, namely, taking abalone for commercial purposes. He was fined $20K, $15K of which is the state-mandated minimum for the offense. His co-conspirators had already been sentenced. February 14th: Roger D. Farley and Clayton Poust pleaded not guilty to alleged felony abalone charges and will have a prelim on April 28. Ronay Gonzales was placed on a 24-month probation, fined $1,998, and sentenced to 35 days in MCJ for possessing seven abalone over the limit and attempting to conceal the evidence. Kwang M. Kim lost a 1538.5 Motion hearing and then pleaded guilty to possessing six abalone out of the shell. He was placed on a 24-month probation and fined $1,890. |
