Mendocino County Court Report

The following cases were heard in Ten Mile Court.

Monday, June 2, 2008
Presiding: Visiting Judge, The Honorable Clay Brennan

- Michael R. Henrie and Timothy S. Karley were placed on 12-month probations and fined $1,566 each for taking three abalone over the limit. They also had to forfeit their dive gear that was seized on the day of the incident.

- Timothy S. Karley (see Henrie above).

- Ken G. Lin was placed on a 12-month probation and fined $1,566 for taking three abalone over the limit.

- Wei J. Lin pleaded no contest to wasting fish (abalone) and was placed on a 12-month probation and fined $1,673, He was ordered to forfeit his dive gear.

- Otis G. McCain and Rud Wasson were placed on 12-month probations, fined $1,458 each, and ordered to forfeit their dive gear when they pleaded no contest to possessing two abalone each over the limit. Wasson's plea was in absentia.

- Nam H. Ngo was held to answer at his prelim for conspiracy to take abalone. He will be arraigned on the information on June 23.

Presiding: The Honorable Judge Jonathan Lehan

- Jing X. Chen was placed on a 12-month probation, fined $1,566, and ordered to forfeit his dive gear when he pleaded no contest to having three abalone over the limit.

- Shannon L. Cunha was placed on a 12-month probation and fined $1,458 for having two abalone over the limit. Her dive gear was also ordered forfeited.

- Jia L. Huang took two undersized abalone and was placed on a 12-month probation with a fine of $1,458. He was ordered to forfeit his dive gear.

- Raymond Jiang took two abalone over the limit and was placed on a 12-month probation, fined $1,458, and ordered to surrender his dive gear for forfeiture.

- Pi L. Kwok was placed on a 12-month probation, fined $1,684, and ordered to forfeit his dive gear for having four abalone over the limit.

- Ci H. Luo had one abalone over the limit and was fined $1,350, had his dive gear taken from him, and was placed on a 12-month probation.
